I have Time Warner out of NY/NJ. For 2 years I had a good connection, 2 months ago my modem has started resetting itself. Since then I've had 5 technicians come out and they replaced my modem 4 times, 3 RCA modems and now a ambit modem. One of the Techs tested every connection, splitter and coupler. He said it might be noise in the line. After he left and the problem was still happening, I got rid of cable service, went with direct tv for tv service.
The most recent tech replaced the line from the box on the pole (he even switched ports) to the modem. There are no coupler's or splitters or anything else between pole and modem.

So now I've had 4 modems, the RCA and now Ambit and both the error logs are similar.

From what I've read it's possible a issue with condensed lines or amps. How can I verify this?

Other troubleshooting I've done:
-Replaced Router
-unplugged Router
-replaced power supply
-plugged straight into wall
-bought voltage regulator
-all the number's on diagnostic pages are acceptable (both RCA and ambient)

When modem is up a I have great speeds, but then it resets itself.

I think the key error is "Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance" . I just don't know what's causing it or why everyone tied into box on pole is not experiencing the same problem.

The first 3 RCA modems used the same power supply, the 4th RCA modem was new and they replaced the power supply.  The ambit modem also came with a new modem.
I also replaced the power supply on the router when I upgraded from a dlink 214 to a Cisco Linksys e3000.
Between the 3rd and 4th modem I switched out my generic surge protector with CyberPower Pure Sine Wave UPS.  It's has "Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) and  automatic voltage regulation (AVR)" and is suppose to supply clean consistent power.

My house is on the corner, the closest house to the utility pole.  I did make a mistake with the last post.  There is one coupler outside, which looks required because its where they grounded it.  There is about 50-70 ft of RG11 then it hits the coupler on the outside of my house and from there maybe 5 ft of RG6 before the modem.

To clarify, they have replaced my modem 4 times, 3 RCA modems (so that's a total of 4 RCA modems if you consider my original) and most recent a Ambit Ubee modem.

The following are my numbers from my new Ambit modem.  The Ambit modem is a little different from the RCA. The connection status always reads connected and the lights always stay on, even though the log says " Reset downstream scanning state!" and the connection is down.  The RCA modem would get stuck in a cycle of resetting itself and I could always fix this by unplugging power from modem and plugging it back in, this always worked, this doesn't always work with the Ambit Modem. With the Ambit modem I find releasing Ip then trying to renew IP through my router works the best.  It might take a couple minutes of me trying to renew but when it final is provisioned an IP the connection is up, at least for a little while.

These numbers were taking while the connection was down and the errors where being logged.

No, my microwave isn't close. I originally had it set up in my office upstairs. After getting rid of Time Warner's cable TV's service I moved it downstairs.

The above link has a section "Cable modem spontaneously re-booting"  ,  EMI is listed. If EMI were a problem in my case I think it would affect more then just my modem. I know my closest neighbor doesn't have any issues.

Update: my connection has been up for a couple days now, that's the longest continuous connection in 2 months.

What's changed? I'm not sure it's something I changed or something Time Warner change.

On some site I saw something about MAC address cloning. I checked my setting on my router and it was set to clone PC MAC address. I turned it off and the network went down. So I turned it back on. The PC MAC address the router was using was for my wired network adapter, I updated this to my wireless network adapter. That's the only change I made and the connection has been up every since.

I have directly connected my PC to the cable modem, at that time I was using a refurbished RCA modem and the RCA modem was still resetting. I've also detached my modem from the network and the modem still reset itself.
